TEAM MANAGEMENT

The Boise YMCA Swim Team is established and governed in accordance to the by-laws of the Treasure Valley YMCA.

Associate Director of Competitive Aquatics

The Team is under the direction of the Associate Director of Competitive Aquatics Treasure Valley YMCA.

The Head Coach/Program Coordinator, under the direction of the Associate Director of Competitive Aquatics, is responsible for the successful daily administration of the Team as set forth by the Boise Family YMCA policies and procedures and by the recommendations from the Swim Team Management Council.

The Head Coach is selected by a committee, which includes the Competitive Aquatics Director and parents from the Team. The Head Coach with the approval of the Competitive Aquatics Director and the Team Advisory Board hires assistant coaches. The current Head Coach/Program Coordinator is Frank Burlison.

Swim Team Council

The purpose of the Swim Team Council is to support and promote the organized swimming activities of the Boise Y Swim Team. The Council seeks to uphold the standards of the Treasure Valley YMCA, the National YMCA Swimming and Diving, and USA Swimming as they relate to competitive swimming.

To become involved with the Swim Team Management Council is a wonderful parent volunteer opportunity! Look at the several areas where parent volunteers are needed, contact the coaching staff or the Team President and help out.

The Council meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 at a pre-arranged meeting area. Any interested parent, swimmer or coach is encouraged to attend. All matters affecting the success of the Team are discussed at these meetings and it is important to have your input. Current members of the Council are listed in the Team newsletter.
